Have a friend who played at GVSU under Kelly and wanted to quit football altogether

I don’t think he visited, and while I wouldn’t be surprised if LSU’s NIL package was more enticing, he’s probably in line for more pt there too. I think Michigan feels good in what they have in Benny, but they want another guy just in case the walk on Ike or Trey Pierce aren’t up to the task to spell Graham and Grant.

That’s been the word around the state for a while from guys that played for him. It’s a big reason I don’t think his act is going to work there past 2025.

Funny thing is I’ve heard the opposite about Annese at Ferris (a much worse job) who’s won two NCs himself, and the guy can’t even sniff a MAC job.
