Right. The slap was lame and something I’ll always associate with Will to some extent. But I also never felt it was something unforgivable and impossible for people to move on from.
There are absolutely games when Brown is the Celtics’ best player, but he, as much as anyone, benefits by being surrounded by so much talent. I have my doubts he could be an undisputed number 1 option on a team.
And during that run the Celtics roster besides Brown and Tatum has completely changed. Those two are the only constants, which suggests they have a lot to do with all the sustained winning at a high level.
I’d say that’s a bit extreme since I think there are plenty of players who don’t really have haters, but I suppose it’s true that all vocal, aggressive hating on particular players tends to be irrational.
