This season I think the issue was people viewing the Celtics as so stacked that Tatum wasn’t as integral to the team’s success as guys like Jokic and SGA were.

Exactly it

He's punished there for the same reason that his shooting numbers are down in the postseason but his team is still cruising and destroying teams

The other guys might be on teams that are also good but they have better numbers and those teams would be dramatically worse off if they weren't there.

It's easier to picture a team like Boston still winning a playoff round if he were to go down than it is with the Nuggets without Joker, OKC without Shai, Dallas without Luka, NY without Brunson and etc...
