The Official NBA Thread

NBA probably won’t suspend Jamal because he has a good reputation. If he were Draymond, definitely would be suspended.

He’ll just get a hefty fine.

Minnesota got these boys flustered though:lol:

Crooked mouth was wilding though throwing that heating pad

He needs to be better. Wolves doing a great job mixing up coverages too. But as long as Murray is playing like trash, yeah good luck.
Yea he looks a little checked out but the reality is the team is significantly thinner than last year, Murray can’t stay healthy, Porter a crash out, no bench…

They need a major retooling and unless they can move Porter for parts not sure how they come into next season ready to contend against a team like Minnesota.

Not trying to call them frauds or religislate their championship but Denver going 8 seed > 4 seed > 7 seed > 8 seed to win a title really is wild when you look back at it. That has to be the luckiest draw ever from a seeding standpoint, right?
Ehh they were picked at every level to lose these series though except for Minnesota last season. They ran through the suns. Ran through the lakers. Even after they figured something out at the end of game with Rui on Jokic. People picked the Heat to beat them. Then the lakers got them early like they wanted. Not ducking smoke

Can’t be both luck and people pick against them. They absolutely are shook right now though.

Jamal should be suspended.

Throwing object on court + money sign at official? Silver needs to drop the hammer.

Nuggets just look physically overwhelmed vs the T'Wolves. Murray been shooting like trash except when it's clutch time vs the Lakers. :smh:

Jokic playing on a roster with zero other rotational guys who have ever been an all-star.

How long before we hear Jokic wants to play in New York???

Going to be hard to sell the fan base on moving MPJ after the leaps he’s made. But these holiday/reggie minutes ain’t it. They need to be family men.

Im ngl, this is just the new NBA. There has been a new representative out of the West these past 4 seasons. Minnesota is just this years Denver. Everything is clicking. Last year Murray was healthy and everything was clicking for the Nuggets. They are also missing Bruce Brown. And when Jamal is not playing like a true number 2 option they just don't have anybody else to consistently go to. Making Jokic a scorer takes away the best part of his game which is passing.

Also the ascension of Anthony Edwards was something nobody was expecting either. HIs shooting splits have are on another level of efficiency that he has never shot before. But being 22 and immature I just think these playoffs are forcing him to stay locked in and focused 24/7. I betted on Anthony Edwards a lot this season, and the problem was never talent. Sometimes he was just not engaged. Now he is and its game over lol

It can be as simple as Some teams just don't matchup well with others. It is not that deep

NBA online community would be in shambles if KAT and Rudy was to get a ring

League close to crowning another team. The era of dynasties may not happen for awhile with how the league is constructed. A new young star is coming out of this playoffs.

Nitpicking the seeds of the teams the Nuggets beat last year is just petty, sour grapes stuff.

The Nuggets shouldn’t be discredited because they Lakers and Heat both had great post-season runs last year and each knocked out higher seeded team. You play who you play and if you’re the last team standing at the end, that’s all that matters.

Last series they were a “superteam” now they were never really that good. Haters are great mental gymnasts

Denver said last year that Minnesota was their toughest post season opponent. So they are probably the least surprised. Like others have just said, styles make fights and this is a bad matchup for them. But tbh the Nuggets haven't looked dominant all playoffs. The lakers led that series against them I want to say 61% of the time. The tea leaves were there. We were just waiting on them to turn it on and they never did.

It’s a copycat league… I wonder if more teams with adopt the two 7 footer/legit big men setup like Minny.

KAT and Gobert definitely causing problems. And they have 4 legit wing players with length who can move laterally.

And a true PG in Conley who really wants to facilitate.

The consensus about the Nuggets going into this season was that they lost depth in the offseason and it could be an issue for them in the post-season. That looks like it’s proving to be exactly right.

The heavy demands on their staters, along with Murray not being 100 percent is catching up to them against a team that’s build perfectly to exploit it and is also brimming with confidence after sweeping the Suns.

All that said, I’m going with the Nuggets in Game 3.

30 years ago today, the 8-seed Nuggets eliminated the 1-seed SuperSonics.

Until last season, this was the biggest playoff moment in Nuggets history.
