Yeah I’m not sure how you can say they aren’t making plays when they had 8 and 9 assists respectively. Watching game 5 it was clear Ant took on the Conley roll and dished 6 assists first half and their shooting dropped way off in the second half. Similar shooting woes in the second half last...
He had 20 and 27 in games 1-2 to get that average. He shot 1-10 in the first half of game 4 and got 13 pts off 18 shots. Subtract his awful performance from game 4 and they win by 5-10.
He was more consistent in game 5 but his second half shooting and defense dropped off.
But gobert and...
I think Towns has always been the issue. But if you move KAT you have to move RG too because I can't believe you're getting an equal or better offensive big in return.
KAT has shown he's not a consistent enough shooter and scorer, especially in this series. I'm shocked he hasn't been getting...
You’re talking about such small changes that no statistician would consider conclusive in any way, especially when he’s playing half his total (8 games) against the best big man in the world and being used as a free safety and less 1-1 you’d see over the regular season sample size of 9x. And you...
To me that speaks to poor coaching on RG’s teams. What I saw happen in this series is that the Nuggets recognized in game 2 that the strategy was the same without him playing and they re-calibrated, while the wolves haven’t changed much of anything defensively.
Until the past week I thought he was best known as being a mental ****** and doing stupid stuff to not play at all, not that his play significantly changed in the playoffs. There's really nothing statistically to back up any dropoff in his play in the postseason. It's just a narrative people...
He had 6 assists in the first half basically playing Conley's role. It probably would have worked if KAT shot worth a **** in the second half. Or anyone else. But yeah, turns out he's a better scoring threat than ball distributor.
